Pitties hold a special place in my heart. They are so misunderstood, but are one of the sweetest breeds ever!

I donated this painting to the @blue.moose.gallery for their giving month called “Art With A Heart”. 100% of proceeds will be given to @animalfriendsalliance - a local non profit, adoption-guaranteed shelter.

Words from slide:
“Fear of pit bulls was a personal reality until 2015, when Libbie, a female pit bull mix, was adopted by our family. She swiftly debunked misconceptions during ten wonderful years, being a constant source of playfulness, laughter, and affection. Libbie taught us that her breed is defined by love, not stereotype, and only ever wanted to snuggle.

This painting is inspired by her gentle spirit. While not a portrait of Libbie herself, it promotes awareness and captures the loving nature of pit bulls. It challenges misconceptions, reminding viewers that a dog’s behavior reflects its training and environment, not its breed.”

Holy mess‼️ After 3 classes this week, my brushes were all shoved in bags and jars and needed sorting! Whew that feels better! I like them sorted by: chip, stencil, flat-large, flat-small, round-large, and round-small.
